Generic drug manufacturer don’t has to spend any amount on the clinical trials of the drug because this has been already done by the branded drug manufacturing company. Thus, the prices of the generic drugs were very less in comparison to the original drugs.
Generic drug manufacturers were able make a profits of good margin because the cost of production was still be only 40 to 50 per cent of the cost of production of the original branded drugs. Generic drug manufacturer follows strict adherence to product quality, delivery timelines, continuing focus on efficient cost manufacturing, and respect and protection to intellectual property culminating in highest business ethics. Thus even the pharmacy distributors believe in the generic drug manufacturer and thus the sale of generic drug increases. Customer is using generic drugs because of the cost benefits and he is enjoying the same effects that he used to get by the original branded drugs.
Generic drugs manufacturers have understood that customers prefer those medicines that are cheaper in costs and equally effective like the branded drugs. Even doctors have now understood that generic drugs are safe and have started prescribing over the branded drugs. Insurance companies are also asking the doctors to prescribe the generic drugs before going for the high cost original branded drugs. Thus, generic drug manufacturers are making more profits than branded drugs.
